With Kemtile continuing to add to its growing team, the company is pleased to have welcomed its latest addition, Joe Crawley, who has 14 years of experience in management and maintaining health, safety, environment and quality (HSEQ) standards.
Previously, Crawley has been responsible for the management of tier-1 contractors across the UK, Europe, and Caribbean, working on large scale projects valued up to £1.125 billion.
Speaking on the appointment, Jamie Cook, Director of Kemtile, said: “Maintaining high standards within health and safety is at the core of our values. Joe’s vast experience within the HSEQ will be a great asset to the team and will allow the business to help not just our internal procedures but our customers’ as well.”
Crawley will play a key role in mitigating reporting issues and driving continuous improvement. Working with the Kemtile team, he will implement a new user-friendly management system and training package to ensure everyone is up to date and that high standards are maintained in a seamless and efficient way to minimise downtime.
On joining Kemtile, Crawley said: “Following my interview and being briefed about my role and responsibilities as well as the company’s culture and progression I was excited to get started. I have managed sites previously where I have seen Kemtile working and therefore I knew that I had made the right decision."
“Health and Safety is about supporting and empowering others to make the right decisions now we are not remote working and back in the office and on-site. COVID has impacted everyone so it’s important for people to know that they are still supported," Crawley added. “We are currently developing a training package and looking at incentives and are using technology to support the site teams so they can report issues more effectively and drive continuous improvement. Safety is part of what we do, just like wearing a seatbelt. It's not an add-on.”
Kemtile is a member of various industry bodies and trade associations, and adheres to the relevant health and safety standards (e.g., ISO 45001), quality requirements and accreditation schemes.
