The GEA Pharma Separator aseptic C series centrifuge skids are manufactured according to ASME BPE standards and meet the highest hygienic pharmaceutical requirements with sterilise-in-place (SIP) and clean-in-place (CIP) functionality.
With four bowl sizes, the aseptic C line covers a wide capacity range and features a water-cooled and emission-free Integrated Direct Drive (IDD) for the highest cleanroom classes.
Being CIP/SIP-compatible, the machines are play an essential role during the production of vaccines and many other pharmaceutical products.
"The global impact of COVID-19 means that we, as a leading supplier of equipment, process technologies and solutions, have a special obligation, especially in the pharmaceutical sector, to support our customers with reliable, fast and high-quality technological solutions and our decades of experience," says Dr Markus Kühberger, Director of the Chemical & Pharma Business Line, GEA.
"The plug-and-play separator skids from GEA are designed to meet both standard and customised requirements, are fully adaptable and ensure maximum safety and yield,” adds Kühberger.
Aseptic processing made easy
With the introduction of the new "aseptic" separator line, GEA offers pharmaceutical customers a new level of performance, cleanroom protection, validation and cleanability.
Depending on the product, the four available bowl sizes can process capacities of up to 12000 L/h with a solids content of 5–10 vol%.
Furthermore, shear-sensitive products are gently fed into the filled drum by the patented hydrohermetic feed system below the liquid level and gently accelerated at the axis of rotation.
The IDD drive — with a water-cooled motor and a closed housing — prevents particles from entering the cleanroom. Fewer parts means less wear and easier maintenance.
