The achievement

Dornan has announced its groundbreaking achievement as the first MEP Contractor in Ireland to be awarded the RISE (Retain, Invest, Sustain and Engage) Corporate Support Scheme Badge from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

Micheál O’Connor, Group Managing Director of Dornan, said: “The recognition as the first MEP Contractor in Ireland to receive the RICS RISE Corporate Support Scheme badge is a testament to our unwavering commitment to excellence and the development of our team. It positions Dornan at the forefront of industry best practices, showcasing our dedication to supporting our candidates in their professional journey.”

Understanding RICS RISE Corporate Support Scheme

The RISE Corporate Support Scheme serves as a validation framework, acknowledging firms that adhere to global best practices in supporting candidates through their Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) for MRICS or AssocRICS qualifications.

Adhering to the four principles

To earn this recognition, Dornan meticulously adhered to the four principles of the RISE Corporate Support Scheme:

  • Capacity and Capability: Demonstrated the ability to support candidates in achieving any RICS qualification.
  • Training Opportunities: Provided training opportunities to assist candidates in reaching the required level of competence for their RICS assessment.
  • Continued Professional Development (CPD): Established a robust CPD programme and commitment to life-long learning.
  • Empowerment: Encouraged innovative and collaborative mindsets and behaviours to empower candidates in supporting the future of the profession.

Setting a new standard

“This accomplishment not only reaffirms our ongoing commitment to excellence but also sets a new standard for MEP Contractors in Ireland. Dornan takes pride in being at the forefront of industry best practices, and this achievement serves as a catalyst for our continued investment in the development and success of our team,” the company stated in a press release.
