Smart Reliable Building Achievements (SRBA), a Netherlands-based controlled environment expert, is now using a QR-LINK for its controlled environment facilities in its Building Information Modeling (BIM).
The QR-LINK will enable better and faster coordination between those involved in the design, realisation and operation of a cleanroom, according to SRBA.
Sales Manager at SRBA, Robert de Wolff, said: "We now work within SRBA with QR LINK, a new online system with which we provide our product information in an integrated way. All documents are secured in this."

"The great advantage is that the prescribing market, such as architects, engineering firms and all other people involved in the realisation and use of a cleanroom or laboratory facility, have up-to-date insight into the BIM," Wolff continued.
SRBA provided the example of a door to demonstrate how the project collaborators can use the QR LINK to find specific information on the cleanroom project and its components.
Scanning the QR code on the door enables direct access to the intellectual properties such as PDS sheets, detail drawings, test reports, and maintenance and cleaning instructions, among others, according to SRBA.

"From the start of each project, we collaborate with all disciplines in a 3D Revit Model. The QR LINK programme unlocks the information needed in the construction process for everyone, ensuring rapid elaboration of the cleanroom concept. The result is ultimately better control of quality, time, and money. Architects can easily use this new technology via the STABU specification system. The first reactions are very positive!" Wolff concluded.
SRBA Controlled Environment
SRBA Controlled Environment is responsible within the SRBA Group for the construction of cleanrooms and laboratories in the broadest sense of the word.
SRBA Group was formed in February 2023 from the merger of Brecon and Muller Afbouw Groep
The specialist business unit focuses on the fast-growing high-tech, bio, and life science, and healthcare markets, where specific design details, thorough test reports but also clarity on cleaning and long-term maintenance are essential.
