Cherwell Laboratories, specialists in cleanroom microbiology solutions for the pharmaceutical, healthcare and related industries, will be attending Cleanroom Technology Conference 2022. On stand E5, Cherwell experts will offer practical advice on the new EU GMP Annex 1 requirements for continuous environmental monitoring. The Company will also be inviting attendees to take part in its Platinum Jubilee themed agar art competition, which is launching at the event, to celebrate the Queen becoming the first British Monarch in service for 70 years.
The Cleanroom Technology Conference will be held at the National Conference Centre (NCC) in Birmingham on 25 th and 26 th May 2022. Supported by Cherwell, it will cover a broad range of guidance for industry professionals looking to gain the latest knowledge, expertise and best practice within cleanroom design and operations.
With the pending revision of EU GMP Annex 1 anticipated to be released mid-year, and Day One of the event focusing on regulations and standards, representatives from Cherwell will be on hand to discuss and highlight how their products for environmental monitoring applications can help to maintain future good manufacturing practice (GMP) in line with the revised EU GMP Annex 1.
Emma Millburn, Cherwell’s Director of Sales, who will be attending the event, comments, “With the new version of Annex 1 now containing a strong focus on risk management and having a contamination control strategy, the onus is on manufacturers to develop, validate, and review a holistic, facility-wide strategy to prevent contamination. This conference provides a timely opportunity to discuss how we can help customers to maintain compliance once the revisions have been approved and published.”
Emma Millburn added, “Our flexible solutions can be tailored to specific needs and applications while meeting the rigorous requirements of these updated regulations. Our experts will be available at the event to demonstrate our broad range of innovative products and to work closely with our customers to find the best possible solution to meet their individual needs as they develop their contamination control strategies.”
Cherwell’s range includes the Redipor® prepared media range, comprising agar plates, bottled media, broth bags, vials and ampoules; plus ImpactAir continuous viable air monitoring solutions and SAS microbial air samplers for active environmental monitoring.
Following the success of the Company’s inaugural summer and festive themed agar art competitions last year, to celebrate their 50 th Anniversary, Cherwell will be launching this year’s competition and encouraging delegates to submit their microbial masterpieces. This year’s theme is the Platinum Jubilee, to celebrate 70 years of the Queen’s reign. With Jubilee celebrations culminating the first weekend in June, the Cleanroom Technology Conference is the ideal event to launch the competition.
