CAT (Clean Air Technology) Group has finished a cleanroom expansion for one of the largest specialist companies for machine blister packaging; Blisterzentrum Baden-Württemberg in Magstadt.
Mechanical blister packaging is one of the most modern forms of drug supply. Approved finished medicinal products are repackaged under cleanroom conditions in accordance with EU GMP guidelines – on a patient-specific basis in accordance with medical medication plans. Blisterzentrum has significantly expanded its cleanroom capacities. On a total of 100 sqm of Class D cleanroom space, the company now packs tens of thousands of blister bags every day and supplies several thousand patients. The production of the secondary blisters in the cleanroom guarantees the highest standard of hygiene.
The scope of the contract also included a few 'specials' that demanded a lot of coordination from the trades involved during ongoing operations - including the breakthrough between the existing and expansion areas, the installation of a dust barrier and the installation of a new ventilation system
"We were able to implement the entire expansion project for our customer: from planning to project coordination and cleanroom equipment to initial and requalification measures," CAT Group stated. "The scope of the contract also included a few 'specials' that demanded a lot of coordination from the trades involved during ongoing operations - including the breakthrough between the existing and expansion areas, the installation of a dust barrier and the installation of a new ventilation system."
