The Versaflo Respiratory Protective Systems supply clean, safe air to the workers’ breathing zone, allowing them to work comfortably for long periods.
The streamlined and lightweight systems offer protection with the flexibility for changing environments, needs and comfort preferences.
The modular nature of the range allows it to be quickly and easily adapted for changing work environments. For example, if a hazard is introduced which cannot be filtered, a powered air system can be changed over to a supplied air system by replacing the turbo unit with a regulator. The downward facing air vent even allows staff to work sitting down if they prefer.
3M says the Versaflo TR-300 Powered Air Respirator range combines optimal comfort and performance. These products include an intelligent lithium battery, which quickly charges, has no memory effect and incorporates a charge indicator. They also have an audible and visual electronic alarm that activates in case of low battery or low airflow.
When combined with 3M S-Series Hoods, 3M Versaflo TR-300 and 3M Jupiter Powered Air Respirators offer the highest protection demanded by this sector.
Workers requiring supplied air can choose from a range of belt units, while all of the headtops feature adjustable airflow, allowing the user to select whether they wish the air to flow over their face, head or visor.
Headtops include 3M’s S-655 Premium Hood, which this year received a red dot award for design from the Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen.
“The versatility of the range means many applications can be safely catered for to meet legal requirements and user preferences, and buyers can have confidence that they are purchasing high-quality products from a proven and trusted manufacturer,” said Caroline Smith of 3M’s Occupational Health & Environmental Safety group.
