KleanLabs has installed more than 100 cleanrooms in the past decade and channelled the acquired know-how into developing a product range that withstands mechanical stress yet is pleasing to the eye. User friendly, KleanLabs systems are easy to install and easy to maintain, on top of fulfilling all cleanroom requirements. However, what makes these products truly unique is the outstandingly competitive prices beside their world-class quality.
The very first advice we give as an expert is: never compromise on quality. Cleanrooms are large investments, therefore, the first thing to look for in a manufacturer is quality assurance. KleanLabs is not only compliant with the ISO 9001 standard but is also a certified manufacturer.
Also, note where the product was made, as it usually suggests how strictly the market is regulated. All KleanLabs products and parts are manufactured in the European Union and are CE marked, ensuring they meet the high-standard requirements of the European community. Keep an eye out for EN ISO 14644 compliance that refers to a high level of air cleanliness in cleanrooms. GMP compliance guarantees that a certain level of particle number can be maintained in the cleanroom.
Look for the following features in cleanroom doors and pass boxes to choose the perfect model for your cleanroom:

Easy to clean: opt for a door or pass box that has a completely flat surface on both sides. If there are no edges for the dust to settle in, it becomes very easy to clean and maintain exceptional hygiene. The material of the cover should also be considered because it should not react with any of the chemicals present in the cleaning products. Look for antistatic surfaces that do not attract any occurring contamination. All KleanLabs doors and pass boxes have antistatic surfaces that make the appearance of dirt and micro contaminants harder. We designed our doors to be completely flush with 60 mm cleanroom walls to ensure easy cleaning.
Easy to integrate: be aware of system dependence of cleanroom doors and pass boxes. Many manufacturers market doors that can only be integrated into their systems. This makes it difficult to change parameters within the facility without the cleanroom door integrity being compromised. KleanLab's range of cleanroom pass boxes and doors work with any structure, including sandwich panels and gypsum boards.
Advanced air tightness: precise closing is critical in cleanrooms. Aluminium profile systems can guarantee perfect air tightness for cleanrooms. KleanLabs pass boxes and doors are equipped with premium EPDM gaskets.
Heavy duty body: when making a serious investment, durability is of key importance. Pass boxes and doors with 50 mm and 60 mm thick aluminium panels repectively, are resistant to bending and ensure long-lasting performance. Finding a material that can withstand the challenges of an industrial environment can be tricky. However, KleanLabs uses AISI 304 litre stainless steel, which is completely shockproof and is very unreactive to other chemicals. Moreover, we use safety glazing that ensures that the glass stays in place without scattering, should the window break in.
Premium hardware: it is not just the surface that requires special attention. Smaller details such as locks, door pullers and hinges should be of the best quality as well to assure durability and easy maintenance.
Locking options: as for cleanroom doors, both mechanical locks and electronic locks can be a good choice, depending on how the cleanroom will be used. A card system is a great option in case of a hierarchy in access levels and can be very convenient. However, if there is any risk of cut in the electric supply, a mechanical lock is a safer option.
