Offers a reusable surgical textiles service for gowns, towels and drapes

Following the acquisition of SRI/Surgical Express, Synergy Health has launched a new Reusable Surgical Solutions (RSS) division to improve surgical outcomes and doctor/patient safety in American hospitals with reusable surgical textiles that are environmentally sustainable.

The RSS service offered by Synergy Health recovers and delivers surgical linen from customer hospitals on a daily basis and then reprocesses and sterilises them at one of its nine US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulated facilities.

Bill Braun, Divisional President of Synergy Health, said: “By switching to reusable gowns, towels, drapes and stainless, hospitals can maximise patient safety while saving money on landfill charges and improving their environmental performance. This is a sustainable best-practice solution that also makes good financial sense.”

Synergy is a global provider of outsourced and managed decontamination services for reprocessing surgical instruments and textiles, with a 15-year track record of protecting patient safety, meeting compliance requirements and helping healthcare facilities to improve service at a lower cost.

Synergy Health will be launching new reusable Surgical Gowns to complement the existing product line. Through the establishment of the RSS division and along with the existing Hospital Sterilisation Service (HSS), Synergy Health is able to offer a complete solution for the operating room.
