ISPE hires John Bournas as President and CEO

He will join the Society on 20 September

The International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) has appointed John Bournas as President and CEO. He succeeds Nancy Berg who announced plans to leave the Society last Autumn.

Bournas is currently CEO/Executive Director of the World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH). Prior to this, he was Senior Director of International Affairs at the American College of Cardiology; and Senior Director, International at Cardinal Health. He was a former diplomat, with postings in Chile, Australia and Japan.

Bournas takes the helm at ISPE on 20 September and will oversee ISPE’s Annual Meeting on 12–15 October in Las Vegas, NV, US, which will coincide with the opening of ISPE’s office in Washington, DC.
