Suitable for handling powders or liquids and fitted with a roller door that can be used for storage and multiple dispensing activities

Hosokawa Micron's latest downflow booth design is for companies seeking affordable downflow booth options that still retain high levels of containment and personnel protection.

This new downflow booth is suitable for handling powders or liquids and with a full, front opening retractable roller door can be used for storage as well as multiple dispensing activities.

Designed for ease of installation and flexibility of operation the ‘plug and play’ downflow booth does not require complicated installation or qualified personnel to undertake the wiring work. By using EC plug fan design and technology air handling efficiencies have been achieved alongside easily adjustable fan speed control that allows for efficient air handling within the working environment.

With this new design of downflow booth noise levels of sub 60dBA are achieved, which make it suitable for use in ‘quiet zones’ or within multi-processing areas where high noise levels might be unacceptable.

‘We haven’t cut corners in any way,’ says Hosokawa Micron Product Manager, Carl Emsley. ‘We’ve just developed a smarter design that is already proving popular with those customers who want multiple booths and those using downflow containment facilities for the first time.'

This downflow booth is capable of achieving OELs <1µg/m3, subject to use of a high containment screen and standard operating procedures, he says.
