Hardy Diagnostics hires research and development manager

Will accelerate entry into new molecular markets

Christopher Crowe has joined Hardy Diagnostics, the Californian developer of products for the identification of products for the culture and identification of bacteria and fungi, as research and development manager.

Crowe will lead the company’s r&d and team in developing products for the diagnostic laboratory. He was recently involved in launching a product line for the molecular biology market known as CulGenex.

In addition, Crowe is expanding Hardy Diagnostics’ line of chromogenic media, which detect bacteria quickly and easily due to a colour change produced by the organisms after coming into contact with the culture media.

Jay Hardy, president of Hardy Diagnostics, said Crowe’s knowledge of molecular biology techniques would accelerate the firm’s entry into new markets.
