Eurofins Lancaster Labs to grow its lab services footprint
With an expanded campus the company aims to increase its workforce in bio/pharmaceutical analysis to 500 plus by 2021
Eurofins Lancaster Laboratories (ELL), a part of Eurofins Scientific, plans to expand its Dungarvan, Ireland campus with a new building as well as expansion of its current facility.
This division provides bio/pharmaceutical lab services for all stages of the drug development process and bio/pharmaceutical manufacturing, including method development, microbiology, process validation and quality control.
The building programme includes the expanding the existing 2,700m2 lab with a 4,400m2 extension, as well as developing a further 1,800m2 site on the campus located in the IDA Business Park, Dungarvan. This will bring the Group's capacity to almost 9,000m2 of state-of-the-art laboratory surface to serve the biopharmaceutical industry in Ireland and the UK.
The project is in the planning submission phase and building works are planned to commence in Q4 2016. The company is also set to increase its workforce to over 500 staff by 2021 with this investment by its parent company, Eurofins Scientific.
