Cleanroom labels for cryogenic laboratory applications

Can be attached to vials, test tubes and other curved surfaces

UltraTape Industries, a division of Delphon, and a supplier of cleanroom tapes and labels, has designed the UltraClean cryogenic labels for use in controlled environment laboratories. They have been tested to –196°C (–320°F) and approved for use on glass slides and plastic vials in liquid nitrogen.

The labels are for use in the DNA, forensics, drug development, and medical testing markets.

The new labels comprise woven nylon, polyester or polypropylene materials with a permanent pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive, making them flexible and therefore suitable for attaching to vials, test tubes and other curved surfaces.

UltraTape says the cryogenic label product line is durable against harsh chemicals such as sulfuric acid solution, sodium hydroxide solution and mineral spirits.

The labels can be used with UltraTape's UltraLabel PRO cleanroom label printer or written on with a cleanroom marker.
