Bioreset Max: 6 Log reduction is now within everyone’s reach

Responding to a worldwide growing demand for an easier use of V-PHP technology in different markets and applications, Amira launches Bioreset Max for maximum protection of operators and environments

In aseptic pharmaceutical manufacturing and other classified areas with high risk of biological contamination, V-PHP (Vapour-Phase Hydrogen Peroxide) biodecontamination has been used widely for a long time to reduce the microbial load. In fact, vaporised hydrogen peroxide is recognised as a surface sterilising agent by several regulatory agencies worldwide, such as FDA or EPA, and allows to eliminate a wide spectrum of microorganisms quickly and effectively on all exposed surfaces.

Working side-by-side with customers in different markets and applications worldwide, Amira could grasp a growing demand for an easier use of V-PHP technology by players operating in the biotechnological sector, in biohazard laboratories and, more in general, in unclassified environments. This demand was over there for years and has become even more urgent in the particular pandemic time we are facing.

Hence the idea of producing Bioreset Max, the V-PHP generator designed to offer extreme simplicity and maximum protection from viruses and microorganisms for operators and environments.

A winning ally for many applications

Made entirely of aluminium and ABS, it is lightweight and easy to transport. For applications requiring compact and handy equipment, its small size is ideal as it helps the operators moving even in small areas. In addition, the automatic cycle allows to reach with each use optimal levels of efficacy. Bioreset Max is a winning ally for many applications such as:

  • Biosafety cabinet
  • Hospitals and healthcare facilities
  • Dental and medical clinics
  • Microbiological laboratories
  • Biosafety laboratories
  • Biomedical research facilities

Intuitive and user-friendly

Inserted in the area to be decontaminated, Bioreset Max generates the sterilising agent in vapour phase. The gas spreads in perfectly uniform way, reaching even the most difficult points and ensuring a very high level of reduction of the microbial load (6 Log) on all exposed surfaces. Simply pressing a button, it is possible to launch in fully automatic mode the cycle to biodecontaminate areas up to 350 m 3 with a process managed by a probe and remotely controlled by personal computer, tablet or smartphone. At the end of the cycle, the catalyst allows the aeration of the environment without the need for forced ventilation and transforms the decontamination agent into water and oxygen.

The right tool for complete BSC biodecontamination

Biosafety cabinet (BSC) primary purpose is to protect the operator and the surrounding environment from pathogens and to ensure absolute sterility conditions during samples manipulation. But what may happen when maintenance service is carried out? How to be sure that operators and environments can still be protected? This is possible decontaminating the full BSC before proceeding with any maintenance activity.

Let’s consider, for instance, maintenance activity to replace HEPA filters which are a possible point of presence of pathogens and really difficult to be sterilised. In fact, these filters can block any particle larger than 0.3µm and only a gas is therefore able to penetrate the filter media and can perform complete and effective decontamination. Bioreset Max, using hydrogen peroxide in vapour phase, is the right tool to sterilise all exposed surfaces up to 6 Log, including HEPA filters.
