Astro Pak appoints General Manager for Downey Cleanroom

Gordon Hanscom will oversee operations in the cleanroom, including production and quality personnel departments

Astro Pak, a North American supplier of precision cleaning and passivation services for the medical device, semiconductor, laser and biopharmaceutical industries, has appointed Gordon Hanscom as General Manager of the Downey Cleanroom in California.

Hanscom takes responsibility for overseeing the operations in the cleanroom facility, including production and quality personnel departments. He will also be working with Human Resources to help develop staff at the facility.

The 6,000ft2 cleanroom, covering more than three acres, was first opened for business in 1974. The facility has since been completely remodelled to reflect Astro Pak’s high standard of excellence and continuous quest for improvement.

Hanscom spent 10 years in the United States Marine Corps as a Naval Aviator CH-46E Pilot, as well as holding partnership in NorCapital Funding Corporation and working as one of the Directors of Corporate Sponsorship Sales for the Hoag Hospital Foundation. His past experience in leadership and management roles are expected to contribute to his role at Astro Pak.
