Astell Scientific helps Leukaemia Busters

Services autoclave at children’s leukaemia charity free of charge

Astell Scientific recently serviced Leukaemia Busters’ autoclave free of charge and received a certificate (pictured) to say thankyou.

The work of Leukaemia Busters, based at Southampton General Hospital in the UK, is entirely devoted to targeted treatments and more than 75% of children diagnosed with the most common form of leukaemia are curable using existing chemotherapy.

However, the remaining 25% of children diagnosed cannot be cured and Leukaemia Busters works hard to explore new methods that the charity hopes will one day make treatment more effective and safer for all patients.

Astell Scientific, based in Sidcup, Kent, said: “Every penny saved helps Leukaemia Busters move one step closer to finding a cure for this deadly disease and we are glad that we are able to help the charity wherever possible.”
