Adds coating to its Type LF air pressure stabilisers

Aercon, a designer and manufacturer of air pressure control valves and stabilisers used in hospitals, operating theatres and cleanrooms, has added SteriTouch antimicrobial protection to its Type LF air pressure stabilisers.

The West Midlands-based division of the Power Utilities Group has had a partnership with SteriTouch, which is based in Abertillery in Wales, since 2006, when the company became one of the first in the UK to adopt a silver antimicrobial coating.

The powder coated antimicrobial option is effective against the growth of bacteria, fungi and mould.

Available in single- and multi-bladed options for mounting in walls and doors, Aercon's air pressure stabilisers are manufactured in-house using high-grade stainless steel blades, with either stainless steel or carbon steel coated housings and rear sections.

SteriTouch additives are approved for food contact and hold EFSA and FDA approvals. Based on ionic silver technology, SteriTouch powder coat is said to reduce the growth of microbes by 99.9% for the lifetime of the coating.
